Note: Schubert wrote only the first stanza into his manuscript, and he put no repeat mark at the end; it is uncertain if he wanted the other two stanzas being sung. The printed editions of this song include all three stanzas, but with stanzas 2 and 3 in reverse order, so that the final lines of each stanza are in the usual sequence of "Glaube, Hoffnung und Liebe".

I la pau entrà dins llurs cors fidels i els rescabalà de llurs grans sofriments i els donà forces davant llur mort al martiri. Jo crec en tu, oh gran Déu! "La pau sigui amb vosaltres!" Ens crides en la vermellor del cel de tots els capvespres quan totes les criatures es dirigeixen vers l'anhelat repòs després de l'aspre decurs d'un dia sufocant; i les muntanyes, les valls, els rius i les ones del mar envoltades pel delicat alè de la boira esdevenen encara més formosos sota aquesta suau vermellor. T'estimo, oh Déu bondadós! "La pau sigui amb vosaltres!" Així ens somriuen entranyablement les primeres flors de la jove primavera quan elles, ormejades amb tots els seus encants, s'integren en el santuari de la creació.
