Consol en el cant

Quan bramula la tempesta de la dissort,
poso al davant la meva arpa,
les cordes no poden protegir-me,
car la tempesta prest i fàcilment les pot trencar;
però a través de la portalada del cant,
colpeja més suau a les meves orelles.
Sento ressonar dolces tonades
que penetren a la meva ànima,
que damunt les ales de l'harmonia
porten un prodigiós reconfort.
I si dono sortida als meus planys,
si ploro amargament i en silenci,
em sento però ben convençut
del que crec fermament;
que pertany a la meva vida
el que joia i dolor estiguin units.
