Schon sank die Sonne nieder
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT ENG FRE
Schon sank die Sonne nieder,
Es ist geworden spät:
Ein Wandrer wie ein Schatten
Zieht hin [am]1 Felsenpfad.

Er denkt an seine Heimat,
[An seine]2 Jugendzeit,
Die Jugend ist verschwunden,
Die Heimat ist so weit.

Da hört er fernher Glocken,
Als riefen sie ihm zu:
O bringt dem müden Wandrer,
O bringet [mir auch]3 Ruh.

Da schwindelt's ihm, er stürzet
Vom Pfade gäh hinab,
Tief unten in den Schluchten,
Da findet er sein Grab.

Die Abendglocken schweigen,
Nur leise rauscht der Bach,
Hinab die dunklen [Schluchten]4,
Hinab mit Weh und Ach.

Aviat es pondrà el sol
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Aviat es pondrà el sol,
s’està fent tard:
com una ombra, un caminant
s’allunya pel camí del rocam.

Ell pensa en el seu país,
en quan era jove,
la joventut s’ha esvanit,
el seu país és molt lluny.

Llavors sent de lluny les campanes
com si li cridessin:
oh, porteu el fatigat caminant,
oh, porteu-me també el repòs.

Aleshores li roda el cap i cau
daltabaix del camí,
avall, al fons de l’afrau,
troba la seva tomba.

Les campanes del vespre callen,
tan sols el rierol mormola fluixet,
davallant per al fosca afrau,
davallant amb pena i dolor.
