Le Temps a traversé la forêt de mon âme,
Entassant et foulant souvenirs et remords,
En un sombre bûcher d'où jaillira la flamme.

Ô mes folles amours ! Démons ! Cœurs inhumains !
Accourez et dansez ! C'est mon âme qui brûle !
-- Je m'en retourne aux cieux comme le grand Hercule.
Sur les ailes du feu qu'ont allumé vos mains !

Piling up and crushing memories and remorseful thoughts,
Into a sombre pyre from whence will gush flames.

Oh, my foolish loves! Demons! Inhuman hearts!
Rush forward and dance! It's my soul that's burning!
-- I'm returning to the heavens like the great Hercules
On wings of fire which have been lit by your hands!
