Els vents primaverals fan tremolar el cel damunt les prades humides; he vist sortir algunes estrelles i altres he vist desaparèixer; però no he pogut trobar la més formosa que abans brillava per a aquest enamorat. No puc pujar cap al cel per cercar l’estrella estimada; els núvols sempre me l’amaguen! A baix, al fons, allà podria reeixir d’assolir el tranquil objectiu! A baix, al fons, de bon grat trobaria la pau! Ventijols, per què en un joc calmós feu bressolar la barca que sondrolla? Oh, empenyeu-la vers un rumb més turbulent, cap baix, dins el remolí de les onades! Al fons, a la frescor onejant, deixeu apropar-me a l’estrella estimada.
