Ett ensamt skidspår

Ett ensamt skidspår som söker
sig bort i skogarnas djup,
ett ensamt skidspår som kröker
sig fram över åsar och stup,
över myrar där yrsnön flyger
och martall står gles och kort -
det är min tanke som smyger
allt längre och längre bort.

Ett fruset skidspår som svinner
i skogarnas ensamhet,
ett mänskoliv som förrinner
på vägar som ingen vet - 
i fjärran förblevo svaren
på frågor som hjärtat bar -
ett slingrande spår på skaren
min irrande vandring var.

Ett ensamt skidspår som slutar
vid plötsligt svikande brant
där vindsliten fura lutar
sig ut över klippans kant -
vad stjärnorna blinka kalla, 
hur skymmande skogen står,
hur lätta flingorna falla
på översnöade spår!

Yksinäinen suksenlatu

Yksinäinen suksenlatu, joka etsiytyy
pois metsien syvyyteen,
yksinäinen suksenlatu, joka luikertelee
eteenpäin yli harjujen ja jyrkänteiden,
yli soiden, joilla pyryttää lunta
ja seisoo harvakseltaan käkkärämäntyjä –
se latu on kuin ajatukseni, joka livahtaa
yhä kauemmas ja kauemmas pois.
 
Jäinen suksenlatu, joka kaartelee
metsien yksinäisyydessä,
ihmiselämä, joka valuu tyhjiin
teillä, joita kukaan ei tunne –
kaukana pysyivät vastaukset
kysymyksiin, joita sydämeni kantoi –
vain mutkaileva latu hangen pinnalla
oli minun harhaileva vaellukseni.
 
Yksinäinen suksenlatu joka päättyy
odottamattomaan petolliseen jyrkänteeseen,
jossa tuulen tuivertama mänty kallistuu
yli kallionreunan –
miten kylminä tähdet välkkyvät,
miten hämäränä metsä seisoo  ympärillä,
miten keveinä hiutaleet putoilevat
lumenpeittämälle ladulle!
