wenn Wellen erst das Schiff bedecken,
ach! so bestürmt ihr Herz ein harter Schrecken;
sie  fürchten, jämmerlich zu sterben; sie schreien:
Helf, hilf uns! Wir verderben.
Und sollt es denn an mir auch nicht geschehen,
in meiner grossen Not, Gefahr und Pein? Nein, nein!
Denn Jesus will und kann so mich, als sie, befressen.
