by Afanasy Afanas'yevich Fet (1820 - 1892)

Postoj! zdes' chorošo! zubčatoj i širokoj
Language: Russian (Русский)
Postoj! zdes' chorošo! zubčatoj i širokoj
Kajmoju ten' legla ot sosen v lunnyj svet…
Kakaja tišina! Iz-za gory vysokoj
Sjuda i dostupa mjatežnym zvukam net.

JA ne pojdu tuda, gde kamen' verolomnyj,
Skol'zja iz-pod pjaty s otvesnych beregov,
Letit na chrjašč morskoj; gde v more val ogromnyj
Pridët — i ubežit v ob"jatija valov.

Odna peredo mnoj, pod mirnymi zvezdami,
Ty zdes' carica čuvstv, vlastitel'nica dum…
A tam pridët volna — i grjanet meždu nami…
JA ne pojdu tuda: tam večnyj plesk i šum!
