wandert wehmutsvoll der Sinn,
Wo wir manches Glück erfuhren, 
schweifen die Gedanken hin.

Fern sind jene frohen Stunden, 
unbeständig ist das Glück,
Jugend ist dahingeschwunden, 
nur die Sehnsucht blieb zurück.

Eile auf des Traumes Flügeln 
nach dem teuren Vaterland,
Nach der Heimat Rebenhügeln, 
an der Seen dunkeln Strand.

Hacia los viñedos de mi tierra 
caminan pesarosos mis sentidos,
allí donde fuimos felices, 
hacia allí vuelan los pensamientos.

Lejanas quedan ya aquellas horas 
de felicidad, voluble es la fortuna,
la juventud, desvanecida, 
solo queda ya la nostalgia.

Apresúrate, en alas de los sueños, 
hacia la amada tierra paterna,
hacia las colinas de viñedos, 
hacia la oscura orilla de los lagos.
