by Mikhail Yur'yevich Lermontov (1814 - 1841)

Bolezn' v grudi mojej i net mne iscelen'ja
Language: Russian (Русский)
Bolezn' v grudi mojej i net mne iscelen'ja,
     Ja uvjadaju v polnom cvete!
Puskaj! — ja ne byl rab zemnogo naslazhden'ja,
     Ne dlja ljudej ja zhil na svete.
Odno lish' sushchestvo dushoj mojej vladelo,
     No v raznyj put' poshli my oba,
I my rasstalisja, i nebo zakhotelo,
     Chtob ne soshlis' opjat' u groba.
Gljazhu v bezmolvii na zapad: dogorajet
    Krasneja gordoje svetilo;
Mne khochetsja za nim: ono, byt' mozhet, znajet,
     Kak voskreshat' vsjo to, chto milo.
Byt' mozhet, osleplen ognem jego sijan'ja
     Ja khot' na vremja pozabudu
Volshebnye glaza i poceluj proshchan'ja,
     Za mnoj begushchije povsjudu.
