The dimple on the chin
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the German (Lower Austrian)
My lass has a chin, in which is a dimple;
I can't say how much I've been won over by that.
A nose has everyone, and eyes and a mouth too,
but a dimple on the chin is not found very often.
When she gives me a friendly look, when she blinks and laughs,
you should see the lovely way she opens this dimple.
Her chin is so round and so luckily shaped
as if the Christ child had pressed his finger in it.
I ought to marry one from the town,
but I didn't like her - she has no dimple!
False hair and false teeth, that happens all the time,
but a dimple that's false I haven't seen in all my life.
