nemožem sa rozejít,
má galánko jistá.

A už sa rozešły
voděnka y rybičkú,
skoro-li sa rozejde
šohajek s děvečkú.

Około Hovoran
chodníček jako dłaň
a dože ho ušplapáł?
Šohajek chod'a k nám.

Along by our home town
flows a pure clean river,
we two cannot ever part,
you’re my love for ever.

Now the fish is parted
from that pure clean water,
perhaps soon a girl will be
parted from her lover. 

Round Hovorany town
a nice smooth footpath leads;
so who has trodden it down?
My lover who visits.
