Sok évnek előtte csak fölkerekedtem. A Tengerig értem, folyton verekedtem. Beh hosszu, nagy út volt s a díja mi gyatra, hány vad, viharos víz feküdt az utamra. Mért mentem is egykor, mért mentem el innen? Csak mert fene éhség morgott beleimben. Dolgoztam is egyre, hogy tömjem a bendőm, volt is kenyerem már, de nem elegendőm. Végtére beláttam, így élni sem élet. Hát most hazajöttem s koplalva henyélek.
