by Fyodor Ivanovich Tyutchev (1803 - 1873)

Sižu zadumčiv i odin
Language: Russian (Русский)
Sižu zadumčiv i odin,
Na potuchajuščij kamin
  Skvoz' slëz gljažu...
S toskoju myslju o bylom
I slov v unynii moëm
  Ne nachožu.

Byloe - bylo li kogda?
Čto nyne - budet li vsegda?
  Ono projdët -
Projdët ono, kak vsë prošlo,
I kanet v temnoe žerlo
  Za godom god.

Za godom god, za vekom vek...
Čto ž negoduet čelovek,
  Sej zlak zemnoj!
On bystro, bystro vjanet - tak,
No s novym letom novyj zlak
  I list inoj.

I snova budet vsë, čto est',
I snova rozy budut cvest',
  I terny tož...
No ty, moj bednyj, blednyj cvet,
Tebe už vozrožden'ja net,
  Ne rascveteš'!

Ty sorvan byl moej rukoj,
S kakim blaženstvom i toskoj,
  To znaet bog!...
Ostan'sja ž na grudi moej,
Poka ljubvi ne zamer v nej
  Poslednij vzdoch.
