L’estimada i el suc dels raïms
comparteixen el fervor del meu cor
i fan feliç la meva vida:
ella és encisadora, ell és bo.
L’estimada em fa més preuat el vi;
ella el serveix tan amablement!
També ella resplendeix més radiant
quan estic reblert del nèctar.
El meu cor està doblement capturat:
aprecio molt el vi i l’estimada.
Quan de vegades un d’ells em manca,
l’altre prou que em conhorta.
Ser fidel a tots dos per sempre,
ho juro amb ànim joiós.
Ells m’inspiren per al cant,
sí, a una benaurada follia.
Goseu esguardar la meva estimada!
Tasteu el meu vi de taula!
I, oh amics, amb encís
afegiu-vos al meu cant de lloança.
Així, faig que cada dia sigui més formós,
sense maldecaps el curs de la meva vida.
A Bacus agraeixo la dolça son,
i Cupido em desperta de nou.
