Elle fait semblant de dormir, 
elle lui tourne le dos... 
Soudain, d'une chambre lointaine, 
on entend une musique grêle --- si jolie! ---
cordes d'un shamisen frôlées par des doigts  délicats!... 
Dès lors, réconciliation des amants. 

Sa coiffure toute dérangée !... son peigne !... 

Le matin. Cloches dans l'aube. 
« Déjà la séparation ! Oh ! je ne veux pas !... » 
                  Départ. 
Une barque s'éloigne sur un étang du Yoshiwara...
