A fora fa un fred que pela,
qui arriba per el bosc hivernal?
Tris-tras, tris-tras i fardell a l’esquena.
És el Knecht Ruprecht amb el seu sac.
Què hi ha a dins del sac?
Pomes, ametlles i panses
i dolces roses de sucre,
també hi ha menta per als bons infants,
als altres, als que no s’han portat bé,
els dóna un cop als pantalons.
