by Nikolai Nikolayevich Orzhitsky (1796 - 1861)

Proshhanie gusara
Language: Russian (Русский)
Tovarishhi, na ratnom pole,
Sredi vragov, v chuzhix krayax
Vstrechat` uzhe ne budem bole
My' smert`, stol` slavnuyu v boyax…

Uzh vmeste chashu zolotuyu
Vinom ne budem napolnyat`,
Ne budem bole krugovuyu
Za zdrav`e xrabry'x osushat`.

YA bronyu skinul, mech moj rzhavit,
V bezdejstvii dusha moya.
Konem ruka moya ne pravit,
I slavy' put` ne dlya menya.

Ot vas ottorgnuty'j sud`boyu,
Odin sred` rodiny' moej,
Odin – s stesnennoyu dushoyu
Skitat`sya budu mezh lyudej.

Moj kon` pokinut; nevesely'j,
Menya, glavoj poniknuv, zhdet,
No tshhetno zhdet, osirotely'j;
Tovarishh rati ne pridet.

Uvy', uzhe ne budet bole,
So mnoj na bran` letya streloj,
Toptat` vraga na brannom pole,
Proshhaj, – o drug, soratnik moj!

Tak govoril v krugu soratny'x
Gusar razluki v skorbny'j chas.
Vzdoxnul, i na ochax besstrashny'x
Sleza blesnula v pervy'j raz.
