was ist dein Lied, dein Lied im Grund?
Dein kleines Lied ist Gotteswort,
dein kleiner Kehlkopf Gottes Mund.

'Ich singe' singt noch nicht aus dir,
es tönt die ewige Schöpfermacht
noch ungetrübt in reiner Pracht
in dir, du kleine süße Zier.

your little throat is God’s mouth.
