In meiner Heimat wird es jetzt Frühling
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG

In my homeland it is now becoming spring
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
In my homeland it is now becoming spring,
[Spring] turns even the oldest graves green;
There the wells ring, there the songs beckon,
There the crowd of children walks with kittens.

In my homeland the maidens laugh,
The wild roses blossom in the bushes,
And at night the stars [glow]1 so gold,
A thousand times more gold than here with you.
