La Guillotine d'amour
Language: French (Français)
Our translations:  ITA
La Guillotine est à Cythère
De mode comme en ce pays;
Mais la chose est toute contraire
A la cour de dame Cypris;
Car ici l'antipatriote
Seul au supplice est Destiné
et l'on voit toujours sans culotte
Quiconque est la, Guillotiné.

L'appareil est sur un théâtre
Couvert d'un tapis de lin blanc;
Entre deux colonnes d'Albâtre
Parait le fatal instrument;
La fenêtre en est purpûrine,
L'Ebène en borde le contour
Le désir ouvre la machine,
Et l'Exécuteur est l'amour.

Prenant une Attitude fière
Se présente le patient;
Plus il porte la tête altière,
Plus il devient intéressant:
L'étreinte augmente sa furie,
Il s'agite, il brave son sort;
Le plus doux moment de sa vie
Est le plus voisin de la mort

O Vénus dont mon coeur fidèle
Adore et suit les douces lois,
Donne moy, pour prix de mon zèle,
Une Guillotine à mon choix:
Et par l'effet de ta puissance,
Après un trépas fortuné,
Ah! rends moi toujours l'Existence,
Pour être encore Guillotiné.

La Ghigliottina d'amore
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the French (Français)
A Citera la ghigliottina
È di moda come in questo paese;
Ma alla corte di Cipride regina
Diverso è l'uso di questo arnese;
Perché qui i condannati
Vanno da  soli  alle esecuzioni
E poi si ritrovano ghigliottinati
Dopo essere rimasti senza calzoni.

Sta l'apparecchio in un teatro nero,
che lino bianco suole celare;
poi fra colonne di alabastro vero
il fatale strumento d'un tratto compare;
Un purpureo foro è la sua finestra,
Da nero ebano circondato,
Il desiderio muove la macchina sinistra,
e l'amore è il boia spietato.

Assumendo un'attitudine fiera
Si presenta il condannato;
E più la sua testa è altera
Più lui viene ammirato:
La stretta accresce il suo tormento,
Lui s'agita e affronta la sua sorte
E di sua vita il più dolce momento
È quello più vicino alla morte.

Divina Venere che con cuore adorante
ho sempre servito in ogni momento,
dammi in premio del mio zelo costante
una ghigliottina a mio piacimento:
E per effetto della tua potenza,
Dopo un trapasso assai fortunato,
Ah! Rendimi ancora l'esistenza
Per essere di nuovo ghigliottinato!
