El somni dóna el que el dia ocultà; de nit, quan la voluntat es rendeix, impulsos alliberats malden per alçar-se, seguint averanys divins. Els boscos i els rius bramulen, i a través de l’ànima desperta un blavós cel de nit llampuga. A dins meu i fora de mi no hi ha diferència, el món i jo som la mateixa cosa. Núvols suren al meu cor, el bosc somia el meu somni, la casa i el perer em narren les faules oblidades de la nostra comuna infantesa. A dins meu ressonen els rius i les gorges ombregen, la lluna i les pàl·lides estrelles són els meus íntims companys de joc. Però la plàcida nit que lleugerament ennuvolada s’inclina al meu damunt té el rostre de la meva mare, ella em besa somrient amb un amor inesgotable, somniadora com antigament, belluga el seu estimat cap, i els seus cabells onegen per el món, i en això, pàl·lides, s’agiten, amb un lleu tremolor, els milers d’estrelles.
