Guten Morgen, schöne Müllerin!
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT DUT ENG FIN FRE GRE ITA KOR POR
Guten Morgen, schöne Müllerin!
Wo steckst du gleich das Köpfchen hin,
Als wär' dir was geschehen?
Verdrießt dich denn mein Gruß so schwer?
Verstört dich denn mein Blick so sehr?
So muß ich wieder gehen.

O laß mich nur von ferne stehn,
Nach deinem lieben Fenster sehn,
Von ferne, ganz von ferne!
Du blondes Köpfchen, komm hervor!
Hervor aus eurem runden Thor,
Ihr blauen Morgensterne!

Ihr schlummertrunknen Äugelein,
Ihr thaubetrübten Blümelein,
Was scheuet ihr die Sonne?
Hat es die Nacht so gut gemeint,
Daß ihr euch schließt und bückt und weint
Nach ihrer stillen Wonne?

Nun schüttelt ab der Träume Flor,
Und hebt euch frisch und frei empor
In Gottes hellen Morgen!
Die Lerche wirbelt in der Luft,
Und aus dem tiefen Herzen ruft
Die Liebe Leid und Sorgen.

Saluto del mattino
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
 Buon giorno, bella molinara!
 Dove nascondi la testina,
come se ti fosse successo chi sa che cosa?
Ti dà tanto fastidio il mio saluto?
Ti disturba tanto il mio sguardo?
 Allora me ne vado.

Ma lasciami solo guardare da lontano
 verso la tua cara finestra,
 da lontano, da molto lontano!
 O testa bionda, vieni fuori,
venite fuori dai dal vostro portone rotondo,
 voi azzurre stelle del mattino!

Voi occhi ancora ebbri di sonno,
 teneri fiori umidi di rugiada,
 perchè avete paura del sole?
Vi è tanto piaciuta la notte,
che vi chiudete, raccolti, a piangere
 nella sua silenziosa voluttà?

Ora, scrollatevi il velo di sogni
 e alzatevi freschi e liberi
 nel chiaro mattino di Dio!
 L'allodola volteggia nell'aria
e dal profondo del cuore chiama
 l'amore tormento e pena.
