Und Stille sich senkt auf den Hain,

Ritorno a casa

Lievi oscillano i rami,
la barchetta scivola lungo la riva,
torna a casa la colomba al nido,
da te torna a casa il mio cuore.

Abbastanza nei giorni felici,
in cui la vita è chiasso di gioventù,
con erranti colpi d'ala ho volato
lontano con entusiasmo.

Ma ora che il sole cala,
e la calma si versa sul boschetto,
sento che presso a te è la pace,
solo con te la quieta felicità.
