by Albert Träger (1830 - 1912)

Ihr Sternlein, hoch am Himmelszelt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ihr Sternlein, hoch am Himmelszelt,
Ihr schaut ja auf die ganze Welt,
Sah keines mein verrathnes Lieb,
Weiß keines, wo die Ärmste blieb.

Ihr Sternlein, die ihr tröstend scheint,
Wo still ein Herz verlassen weint,
Sah keines ihre Wange blaß,
Ihr Auge, das von Thränen naß.

Ihr Sternlein geht ja auf und ab,
Saht ihr vielleicht ein frisches Grab?
O, zeiget mir die Stelle an,
Daß dort auch ich mich betten kann.
