Dornröschen schlägt zum ersten Mal Die Augen auf nach langer Ruh, Und schauet bräutlich um im Thal; Doch fallen bald der Kleinen Im Weinen Die müden Augen wieder zu. Und wie sie weint im schweren Traum, Sommer naht, ihr Buhle traut, Und küßt sie wach, sie weiß es kaum: Von seinem Kuß durchglühet Erblühet Zu neuer Pracht die junge Braut. Nun freue dich der kurzen Lust Und sei dem schönen Buhlen hold, An seinem Kuß du sterben mußt! Wie leide dir geschehe, Wie wehe, Du selbst hast Weh und Leid gewollt.
