Aus dem hohen Liede

From the Song of Salomon
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
My Love is mine, for ever mine! Him whom my soul doth love, I find him now! And now my head upon his arm may rest, And he caressing fold me to his breast. My Love is mine, for ever mine! I forced his heart, he could not choose but love, His kisses are all others far above, His love to me is dearer far than wine. My Love is mine, for ever mine! Strong is true love, is mightier far than death, A heavenly flame time ne'er extinguisheth, O may this beam in our heart brightly shine, This Godlike beam in our heart brightly shine!
