by Karl Stieler (1842 - 1885)

Am Bache
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich hab' mich ganz [an]1 dich verloren,
Und wo ich gehen mag und sein:
Auf stiller Flur, im Lärm der Toren,
Auf allen Wegen bin ich dein!

Ich seh' den Abend und den Morgen
Nur mehr im Schimmer deines Blicks;
Du bist die Fülle meiner Sorgen,
Du bist die Fülle meines Glücks!

Ich ward wohl ganz ein Weltversäumer
Und fließt die Zeit doch wie der Bach;
Die Woge ruft: Wach' auf, du Träumer!
Doch nimmer, nimmer werd' ich wach.
