El seu cant se sent des del bosc, i així el goig de la primavera li ressona al cor. Tenor solo: Conec una petita rosa que resplendeix a l’esclat encisador de la primavera, de tot cor li voldria preguntar: voldries ser tu la meva petita rosa? La rosa: Dorm bé, tu estimat cantaire! Tenor solo: I quan m’atreveixo a preguntar-li, ella m’esguarda tan afectuosament que de cop i volta perdo el coratge. La rosa: Dorm bé, tu estimat cantaire! La petita rosa floreix per a tu.
