de roze sluimert, de sterre lacht,
in stille droomen wasemt de hei.

O kom met mij in den lentenacht.
Het leeft, [en het hijgt]1 en het mint daar al!
De loveren lispen, het windje smacht,
en [donkere wegelen]2 lokken door 't dal.
