Nell'Itale contrade
è una città Regina;
la Ligure marina

اینجا همیشه شاخساران، سبزند،
اینجا امواج جویباران
به نرمی بر قدم هایم روانند؛
اما این خاک
وطن من نیست.

اینجا امواج آبی
همواره خورشید را باز می‌تابانند؛
و زنبق‌ها و بنفشه‌ها
گرداگرد من می‌رویند؛
اما این خاک
وطن من نیست.

دوشیزگان، زیبا هستند
همچون گل های سرخی
که به نشانه‌ی پایبندی به عشقشان
بر گیسوان خود می‌زنند؛
اما این خاک 
وطن من نیست.

در سرزمین ایتالیا
شهری، با شکوهی ملکه وار، فرمانروایی می‌کند،
جایی که ساحل لیگورا
پیوسته پا‌هایت را به آب فرو می‌برد؛
آن را می‌شناسی؟
آنجا، وطن من است.
