Plavaj, plavaj, lebedon'ko
Language: Ukrainian (Українська)
Plavaj, plavaj, lebedon'ko,
Po syn'omu morju!
Rosty, rosty, topolen'ko,
Vse vhoru ta vhoru.
Rosty hnučka ta vysoka do samoï chmary,
Spytaj Boha čy diždu ja,
Čy ne diždu pary?
Rosty, rosty, podyvysja
Za syneje more,
Po tim boci—moja dolja,
Po sim boci—hore...
Tam des' mylyj, čornobryvyj,
Spivaje, huljaje,
A ja plaču, lita traču,
Joho vyhljadaju.
Skažy jomu, moje serce,
Ščo smijut'sja ljudy,
Skažy jomu, ščo zahynu,
Koly ne prybude!
Sama choče mene maty
V zemlju zachovaty...
A chto ž ïï holovon'ku
Bude dohljadaty?
Chto dohljane, rozpytaje,
Na starist' pomože?
Mamo moja! Dole moja!..
Bože mylyj, Bože!
Podyvysja, topolen'ko!
Jak nema—zaplačeš,
Do schid soncja, ranesen'ko,
Ščob nichto ne bačyv...
Rosty ž serce-topolen'ko,
Vse vhoru ta vhoru!
Plavaj, plavaj, lebedon'ko,
Po syn'omu morju!
