Fagre Nat med Blomsterstrøme
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Our translations:  FRE
Fagre Nat med Blomsterstrøme
gennem Vindvets aabne Sluse,
medens fjærne Bølger bruse
som et Hav af Valmudrømme:
Vindvet i! men tyst og varlig,
Søvnen er den Syge god,
men en saadan Søvn er farlig
med et Blomsterhav for Fod.

Lyse Dag med stærke Strømme,
Solglans gennem Taagens Banker,
faste Forsæt, rene Tanker,
svale Pust af vaagne Drømme
over Mandeviljens Hav:
Morgnens Gry er Nattens Grav.
Tak! den Haand, som Morgenhilsen
med et ærligt Haandslag gav.
