Et quia sic nostram complerent crimina pellem.
Virginis in corpus voluit demittere coelo
Ipse Deus prolem, quam nuntiat angelus almae
Matri Quo miseros contracto sorte lavaret.

Minä näin itsensä Jumalan, joka tahtoi rangaista
maailman tyhmiä ja sydämessään kapinallisia ihmisiä,
koska syntiemme määrä oli kasvanut liian suureksi.
Itse Jumala tahtoi lähettää Poikansa taivaasta
neitsyen ruumissa, näin ilmoitti enkeli suloiselle äidille,
se poika puhdistaa kurjat ihmiset heidän synneistään.
