Es duftet lind die Frühlingsnacht, Es glänzt im Silberschein Durch Waldesgrün auf Blüthenpracht Der liebe Mond herein. Durch neu belebte Bäume zieht Ein weicher Flüsterklang, Der wird zum leisen Liebeslied, Zum Frühlingslustgesang. Dem Liede hör' ich träumend zu Und singe selbst darein: "Du süsse Maid, o wärest Du Ewig mein! Auf ewig, auf ewig, O wärst Du auf ewig mein."
