by Ivan Ivanovich Kozlov (1779 - 1840)

Jest' tikhaja roshcha u bystrykh kljuchej;
Language: Russian (Русский)
Jest' tikhaja roshcha u bystrykh kljuchej;
I dnem tam i noch'ju pojot solovej;
Tam svetlye vody privetno tekut,
Tam alye rozy, krasujas', cvetut.
V tu poru, kak mladost' manila mechtat',
V toj roshche ljubila ja chasto guljat';
Ljubujas' cvetami pod ten'ju gustoj,
Ja slyshala pesni - i mlela dushoj.

Toj roshchi zelenoj mne vek ne zabyt'!
Mesta naslazhden'ja, kak vas ne ljubit'!
No s letom uzh skoro i radost' projdet,
I dushu nevol'no razdum'e beret:
«Akh! v roshche zelenoj, u bystrykh kljuchej,
Vsjo tak li, kak prezhde, pojot solovej?
I alye rozy osennej poroj
Cvetut li vsjo tak zhe nad svetloj strujej?»

Net, rozy uvjali, mutneje struja,
I v roshche ne slyshno teper' solov'ja!
Kogda zhe, krasujas', tam rozy cveli,
Ikh chasto sryvali, venkami pleli;
Blesk nezhnykh listochkov khotja pomrachen,
V rose aromatnoj ikh dukh sokhranen.
I vozdukh svezhitsja dushistoj rosoj;
Vesna minovala - a vejet vesnoj.

Tak pamjat'ju mozhno v minuvshem nam zhit'
I chuvstv upojen'ja v dushe sokhranit';
Tak vejet otradno i pozdnej poroj
Byvalaja prelest' ljubvi molodoj!
Ne vovse zhe radosti vremja voz'met:
Pust' mladost' uvjanet, no serdce cvetet.
I sladko mne pomnit', kak pel solovej,
I rozy, i roshchu u bystrykh kljuchej!
