Der monddurchbleichte Wald liegt totenstumm. Da kommt ein Wind von ferne sacht gewandelt, hoch über seine tausend Häupter her. Die Espe neben mir, die merkts zuerst und gibt sich zitternd hin. Und weiter eilt, als wie ein Liebender sein Mädchen sucht, der sachte Wind. Nun rauscht der Waldrand drüben jenseits der Wiese auf. Und wieder stehn die mondlichtbleichen Stämme totenstumm.
