Nimm also meinen ganzen Schatz, Die reine Hand voll Blut! Ein treues Herz Ist sonder Scherz Das beste Heirats-Gut.

How does it help, if the silver flashes and nevertheless the bridegroom is stupid? a man who always sits with the box and roots around in the bag, divides with mammon his favour, which belongs only to the woman: his pastime makes the woman honour often other Gods. No wealth outweighs woe, no thaler helps a bride, if you build zwitracht in marriage eventually you build a prison; the tempest is not far, where yellow ravens scream; who would now so foolishly do so and woo harm?
