Ein blauer Sommer glanz- und glutenschwer
Geht über Wiesen, Felder, Gärten her.
Die Sonnenkrone glüht auf seinen Locken,
Sein warmer Atem läutet Blütenglocken.
Ein goldnes Band umzieht die blaue Stirne,
Schwer aus den Zweigen fällt die reife Frucht
Und Sens' und Sichel blitzt auf Flur und Feld,
Und rot von Rosen ist die ganze Welt.

Un été bleu, chargé de brillant et de braises
S'approche au-dessus des prairies, champs et jardins.
La couronne du soleil luit sur ses boucles,
Sa chaude haleine fait sonner les clochettes des fleurs.
Un ruban d'or ceint son front d'azur,
Les fruits mûrs tombent lourdement des rameaux
Et dans les champs et les prés étincellent faux et faucille,
Et le monde entier est rouge de roses.
