Seit ich ihn gesehen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT CHI DAN DUT ENG ENG FRE HEB IRI ITA NOR POR RUS
Seit ich ihn gesehen,
  Glaub' ich blind zu sein;
Wo ich hin nur blicke,
  Seh' ich ihn allein;
Wie im wachen Traume
  Schwebt sein Bild mir vor,
Taucht aus tiefstem Dunkel,
  Heller nur empor.

Sonst ist licht- und farblos
  Alles um mich her,
Nach der Schwestern Spiele
  Nicht begehr' ich mehr,
Möchte lieber weinen,
  Still im Kämmerlein;
Seit ich ihn gesehen,
  Glaub' ich blind zu sein.

Sinds ik hem gezien heb
NOTE: the footnotes have been removed from this text; return to general view
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
Sinds ik hem gezien heb,
Meen ik blind te zijn;
Waar ik maar mijn blik richt,
Zie ik hem alleen;
Als in wakend dromen
Zweeft zijn beeld mij voor.
Uit het diepste donker
Breekt het lichter, lichter door.

Grijs en grauw is verder
Alles rondom mij,
Met mijn zussen spelen,
't Maakt mij niet meer blij.
'k Zou veel liever huilen
In mijn kamertj' alleen;
Sinds ik hem gezien heb
Meen ik blind te zijn.
