Da quando lo vidi, mi sembra di essere cieca, dovunque io guardi, vedo solo lui; come in un sogno cosciente mi sta davanti la sua immagine, dalle profonde tenebre sorge più chiara. Tutto il resto è senza luce e senza colore intorno a me, i giochi delle sorelle non mi interessano più, preferisco piangere in silenzio nella mia cameretta; da quando lo vidi, mi sembra di essere cieca.
