Siden jeg har set ham, tror jeg, at jeg har været blind. Hvorend jeg kigger hen, ser jeg kun ham. Som i en vågen drøm svæver hans billede for mine øjne. Dukket op fra det dybeste mørke, tydeligere, stadig tydeligere. Ellers er alt omkring mig farveløst og uden lys. At lege med mine søstre, har jeg ikke længere lyst til. Jeg vil hellere græde stille i mit lille kammer. Siden jeg har set ham, tror jeg, at jeg har været blind.
