Beautiful treasure, my angel, I love you and you alone, I hope you’ll be mine, you’ll be my very own. Give me wine to drink, so I’ll get the picture, beckon me secretly, so my heart will burst with joy. All joy has been taken from me, because of sadness; I’ve seen my treasure in a white dress. I saw her in it, I can’t look at her anymore, it breaks my heart, that formerly was so hot for her1!
1 "Feuer und Flamm sein" means to be very enthusiastic about something; to be keen on something
