Tyl our Lord was y-bore
    De te genetrice.
With ave it went away
Thuster nyth and comz the day
    Salutis;
The welle springeth ut of the,
    Virtutis.

Levedy, flour of alle thing,
    Rose sine spina,
Thu bere Jhesu, hevene king,
    Gratia divina:
Of alle thu ber'st the pris,
Levedy, quene of paradys
    Electa:
Mayde milde, moder es
    Effecta.

lichter als des Tages Schein,
    Gottesmutter hehre:
Ich ruf zu Dir, du sorgst für mich,  
bei deinem Sohne bitt für mich, 
    Du Fromme, 
Dass ich dir darf nahen mich,
    zu Maria komme.

Alle Welt, sie war verlorn, 
    Durch Evas Verstoß, 
Bis uns ward der Herr geborn  
    aus der Mutter Schoß. 
Mit „Ave“ schwand die düstre Nacht, 
du hast uns den Tag gebracht 
    Der Menschen Heil; 
dir entspringt der Tugendquell, 
    der uns zuteil.

Mutter, aus dir alles sprosst, 
    Rose dornenlos gepriesen, 
gebarst uns Jesus, aller Trost, 
    Gottes Gnade dir erwiesen: 
Dir gebührt allein der Preis, 
Königin des Paradeis, 
    Erkoren: 
Milde Magd, die Gott
