Сон
Language: Russian (Русский)  after the Armenian (հայերեն)
Our translations:  ENG

‎Он жемчужные струи катил;

A Dream
Language: English  after the Russian (Русский)
I heard sweet singing, -
My mother was with me again!..
My heart was again lightened by joy, -
But, alas, it was a golden dream.

The brook was murmuring, running by,
Rolling its pearly waters,
It was pure and clear like crystal,
But… it was a deceitful dream!

And dear melancholy sounds
Have reminded me of childhood…
As if my mother were kissing me again…
But, alas, it was in a dream!..

My mother tenderly pressed me to her breast,
And I cried, my soul moved with emotion…
She was drying my tears…
Ah, why was it only a dream?...
