Mit der Lieder holdem Ton.

Nur empor den Blick gewendet,
Und durch düst'res Wolkengrau
Bricht zuletzt, daß es dich blendet,
Glorreich noch des Himmels Blau.

Aber auch die trüben Stunden
Und die Tränen, die du weinst,
Glaub', wie Freuden, die entschwunden,
Süßer scheinen sie dir einst.

Und mit Wehmut, halb nur heiter,
Scheidest du für immerdar
Von dem Leiden, dem Begleiter,
Der so lange treu dir war.

algun dia es guarirà.

Sota una profunda capa de glaç,
la jove poncella ja somia
que la primavera la desperti
amb el so encisador dels cants.

Aixeca tan sols l’esguard vers les alçàries
i, a través de l’ombrívola grisor dels núvols,
espuntarà finalment i t’enlluernarà
la gloriosa blavor del cel.

Però també les hores tristes
i les llàgrimes que vesses,
creu-me, com les joies que s’han esvanit,
un dia et semblaran més dolces.

I amb melangia, només mig asserenat,
t’acomiadaràs per sempre
del sofriment, el company
que durant tant de temps t’ha estat fidel.
