Du bist der Funke, der die Gluth...
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Turkish (Türkçe)
Our translations:  ENG

You are the spark that ignites the blaze
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
You are the spark that ignites the blaze,
You are the star-eye of my night,
You are the wave that the moonbeams pierce,
The bitter dew that wets my lashes! --
Gladly would I cause you wounds that bleed eternally,
Gladly would I wound you with a whip of thorns --
And call to Allah that he might kill you! -- --
Ah! -- if my loving heart did not forbid me to do it!
