O was bleibt dem armen Herzen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
[O was]1 bleibt dem armen Herzen,
Wenn die schöne Liebe floh!

Heimlich zehrt an mir ein Wehe
Nach den süßen Jugendscherzen,
Da ich in der Holden Nähe
Tage lebte still und froh;
Und verwaiset im Gemüte
Fühl' ich's unter bittern Schmerzen:
Einmal bringt der Lenz die Blüte,
Aber auch nur einmal so.

O was bleibt dem armen Herzen,
Wenn die schöne Liebe floh!

Que reste‑t‑il à ce pauvre cœur
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Que reste-t-il à ce pauvre cœur
Quand le bel amour s'est enfui !

Un chagrin me ronge en secret,
Après les douces plaisanteries de la jeunesse,
Quand, près de ma bien-aimée,
Je vivais des jours tranquilles et heureux ;
Et, dans mon cœur orphelin,
Je le ressens avec une douleur amère :
Le printemps apporte la floraison une fois,
Mais une seule fois seulement.

Ô que reste-t-il à ce pauvre cœur,
Quand le bel amour s'est enfui !
