dat stroomt door de wei,
je geeft onderwijl je frisheid
aan het bloementapijt.
Jij die van de bergtoppen komt
Zeg ons of je in het lied
van je stroom ook de geheimen
van de bron kunt horen?
Hoor je in het lied van de stroom
het geheim van de bron?

Ga, beekje. Naar de zee!
Vervolg je weg maar vlug
en in de rimpels van de oceaan
zal je droom eindigen!
