Lieb kan ja ohne Leid nich sein. Was du befiehlst, das tu ich, Liebste mein. Da fing sie an zu weinen: "Du gehst, lässt mich alleine. Wann kommst du wieder her zu mir? Ach, meine Freude nummst du ja mit dir!"

Slaapt ge nog, vriendinne? Men wekt ons reeds ter minnen. Een lieflik vooglijn deed wel dat, 't Welk op den twijg der groene linde zat. Ik lag in ruste diepe, "Ontwaak nu, Kind," zo riep het; Geen liefde zonder ziekepijn. Al wat ge wenscht, dat doe ik, liefste mijn. Daar ging ge droef aan't weenen: Gij gaat, en 'k blijf alleene. Wanneer toch keert ge weer tot mij? Geen heil maakt nog mijn treurig harte blij.
